Weirdos Make The World Go 'Round!

Have you ever felt out of place, like you just don’t belong? No matter where you go you just don’t feel like you “fit in”? I know I have. To be honest, I feel like that about 99.9% of the time. I’m different, weird, and quirky. At times I am loud, others times I am quiet, sometimes I sing instead of talk, other times I talk in weird voices during regular conversations (Don’t judge me). That is just who I am and I am consistent with my self-proclaimed weirdness.

Seriously though, I often feel like I don’t fit in. I don’t know if it has to do with the fact that I’m a 5’10 and ¾ of pure skinty AMAZON (yes, I said SKINTY) with size 11 feet or the fact that I am really contemplative and observant so I don’t speak a lot in public, or the fact that I am a semi-introvert with extrovert tendencies. NO MATTER what it is, that is just how I feel! I can only imagine that there are several of you who feel the same way. You don’t think, look or act like anyone you know. There might be a very people that you connect with, are friends with who are similar to you but when you get down to the nitty gritty, the core, the heart of the matter we are all different. If we all “fit in” and were the same life would be boring. There would be no funny, weird or awkward moments. We would be like robots, knowing each other’s next move. We would look the same, act the same, and talk the same. WOMP! WOMP! WOMP!  BOOORING!!! This world needs diversity! This world needs you, your personality, your uniqueness, your weird, quirky, awkward personality! Why? Because you make life fun and worth living!


We are misfits! We don’t fit in any mold! We create the mold! We are leaders! Even Paul, from the Bible, could relate. He did not fit in and he did not do what everyone did. Instead, he encouraged those around him who felt the same way. In a way, I want to do the same thing. People will not understand you; they will make fun of you, mock you and make you feel like there is something wrong with you for being the way you are. I am not saying all of this to make you feel bad. I tell you this because I love you and I do not want you to stop being you. God created you this way for a reason! You make this life worth living! Keep on being you! No one can BE you like YOU! Accept who you are and as always…
