Go Out With A Bang!
12/31/2014
Can you believe 2014 will be over in less than 24 hours? It’s exciting! I don’t know about you but 2014 was very…eventful, fun, exciting, life-changing, hard, challenging and more! I got rid of a few things, found some things and changed a few things and rediscovered a few things too! Let’s see…. I found out a few things about myself that I never wanted to admit or accept. For one, I have feelings and I get emotional AND THAT’S OKAY! I got rid of past hurts. I realized that hurt, pain and getting offended is inevitable! I cannot avoid my feelings. I have learned to not allow my feelings to run my life! I rediscovered who Cherise is; the part of Cherise that was covered, buried and thrown into an abyss of nothingness. I found her! She is back! The loving, caring, affectionate Cherise! (It's a continuos process.) 2014 has been a year of rediscovery and change for me. What about you? What have you realized about yourself, changed or done differently? I don’t know if you can tell but WE are in this together! As I am constantly telling you to get to know WHO YOU ARE, I am doing the same. It’s a never ending journey. Don’t get discouraged! Isn’t it exciting when you meet someone new? You want to know everything about them! Well! You should get just as excited about getting to know yourself! Believe it or not you are always changing. Things you liked last year, you won’t like this year, AND THAT’S OKAY! Take time to ask yourself questions and figure out what you like, don’t like and what your personality is like! (That was a lot of likes) That’s what I had to do. I had to do a self-check! I had to check myself before I wrecked myself! I was close!... like really close to losing the Cherise that God created me to be! You can’t let the past get in the way of your future! You can’t let boys, family, mistakes, bad habits or your negative thoughts control what you do today or tomorrow or years from now. 2015 is right around the corner and I want you to go out with a BANG! Are there things you need to make right? Need to apologize to a friend/family member? Do you need to apologize to yourself? It is not too late! It took me a whole year and then some to realize things, to change things around, but guess what? I am not done yet! God is not done fixing me up! And God is not done fixing you up either! Philippians 1:6 says: For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. This just means that God is going to keep on working you! You don’t have to worry, just allow God to help you with whatever it is you need help with. How? It is easy simply ask God for help. It will be challenging! It might get a little difficult, but remember you can do all things with God! AND, it will be worth it! It is time to go out with a bang! Get things right, change some things, learn some things and DO SOME THINGS and be confident about ALL that YOU do! You can’t do it alone! God has your back, front and sides! Come on ladies, this is your time to shine and give it your all! Go into 2015 with your head held HIGH AND SHOULDERS BACK! It is time to go out with a bang! XOXO, Cherise Don’t forget your confidence!

Girl Talk!
12/17/2014
What a weekend! As you know (or may not) I hosted the first ever WYC Girls Night! We had a great time! We played a few ice breaker games, talked about preparing for the future, style, fashion and of course boys! We had pizza, wings, cookies and candy! Not only was the food good but the conversation was good too! The girls ranged from 11-16 years old so you know they had some interesting questions. I can’t tell you the questions that were asked because everything that we talk about is confidential, but I can tell you what I talked about! I shared 3 important things with the girls that I KNOW will be helpful to you! 1. I asked the girls: Who are you? It’s important to know who you are so no one can tell you who they think you should be. Boys/people can’t manipulate you when you know who you are. Who you are has nothing to do with what you do but everything to do with your personality! The things you do right now can change, for example, if you say that you are a student what happens when you graduate? Will you still be a student? No, that’s not who you are, that is what you do temporarily. 2. Don’t let your emotions run your life! Girls are emotional by nature and it is important that we get our emotions in check! 99.9% of the time when we listen to our emotions it causes us to be lazy or do things that we like to do. No matter how much we try to deny or hide our emotions, we have them and there is nothing wrong with having emotions. The problem comes when we do everything we FEEL/DON’T feel like doing and not doing what God wants us to do. Here is an example: In the morning, when you wake up, you know you are supposed to make your bed but you don’t. Why? Because you don’t see a point when you are going to get back in it later!..right? (Was that just my way of thinking?... ANYWHOOO) You don’t make your bed because you don’t FEEL like it! You’re emotions are causing you to be lazy and they are pulling you away from doing what you know is the right thing to do. 3. Set short term goals. Not only is it important to know who you are and get control over your emotions, but you have to know where you are going. Once you know where you are going you won’t be easily persuaded by others to go in another direction because you already have it mapped out. Most importantly make sure you pray and listen to what God is telling you and where He is leading you. You can never go wrong when you do things God’s way! His plans are way better and bigger than ours and if God tells you to do something just know that you will be able to make it! XOXO Don't forget your confidence! People Change
12/3/2014
Is it that time of the month yet? You know? :wink wink:.. Ewww wait! Undo the wink wink! By “that time” I mean is it that time of the month for change, NOT whatever you were thinking! LOL Change is good! I am one of the few people I know that like change (when it suites me.. LOL) I love changing my clothes! I love changing my nail color and I love changing my hairdo too! I don’t know about you, but I really love changing my undies! I love the different patterns and colors and little sayings…. I digress. ANYWHOO! As I was saying, change is good. We should all embrace it and go confidently through the “change process.” As the year comes to an end don’t fight the changes you may come across, especially if you have no control over it. For example, the weather, it changes all of the time. Please don’t try and fight the snow or punch the cold wind in the face! You can’t fight the time, and you can’t fight the fact that your body changes without your permission. With all of this change happening all around you it’s important to remember that not only are you changing but the people around you are too. People change, that’s a part of life. Some people change for the better and some for the worst. We should all try to embrace the positive change. I should warn you. Sometimes, when people change, they distance themselves from others in order to get their thoughts and life in order. Don’t hate them for their “change process,” it takes time. Change really is a process. Some people change quickly, while others take a looong time. I mean a looong time. It is not your job or mine to hurry the change process. People change in God’s time. Everything happens in God’s time! Do you want a situation in your life to change? A parent? A friend? A relationship? Maybe you want to change! Be patient, pray and wait. Don’t complain, but give thanks to God for the change that is on the way! Put your confidence in God and know that whatever you need changed, will change IN GOD’S TIME! *Keep the faith and don’t forget your confidence XOXO, Cherise |
