Wear Your Confidence

There is HOPE!

11/5/2014
Picture
It seems as though you girls (and guys) have been enjoying my blogs. Is it safe for me to say that? I hope so because I already said it. This post is a bit different from my others. I was debating if I should make this a blog post or just post it on Facebook, but then I thought to myself, THIS IS MY BLOG and I can do pretty much whatever I want lol. So here it is: I have been thinking about taking this blog public! Yes, this blog is already public, it’s on the Internet! What I mean is I want to take this to magazines! Seventeen, Teen Vogue, Glamour, InStyle etc. etc. SPECIFICALLY SEVENTEEN! I wrote a letter to the editor of Seventeen pitching my idea of having an advice column for girls and women to ask questions about confidence, self-esteem, dating and every issues that girls face etc. etc. This column would also include girls sending in pics of their own personal style as well me showing my wardrobe and personal style and encouraging them to be confident in their skin. The thing that would make my column stick out from the rest is that the advice I’d give would include a faith-based approach, so yeah, I would be talking about God. They rejected my idea, however, they wrote me back and said to keep sending them more ideas. I was a bit disappointed BUT I was excited at the same time and I actually thanked God that they even WROTE ME BACK!

The column would be called, Confidence and Style with Cherise Styles (that’s what I have for now. If I come up with a better name I will let you know.). Why the name “Cherise Styles”? Because that’s what I love! I love my style! I love dressing up and dressing down it’s how I express myself! I am confident enough to wear what I want and not care about opinions or looks! Clothes don’t make people, people make clothes! I don’t like dressing and looking like everyone else. I don’t follow fashion trends because I don’t like people telling me what I should wear or not to wear (that’s the rebel in me).

Ok, back to the point of this post. I NEED YOUR HELP! God gave me the idea to have my supporters to SUPPORT me in my efforts to get this blog international! Let’s take Wear Your Confidence mainstream! If this blog has ever encouraged you, empowered you, made you think, feel accepted, loved, made you laugh or cry then I am asking that you sign a petition to get this blog in a SEVENTEEN magazine! I am asking for 1,000 signatures! I don’t know 1,000 people so that is why I NEED YOU ladies to post, share, retweet, blog, IG etc, etc to get the word out! We can do this before the year it out (December 31, 2014)!

THIS WOULD BE A GREAT CHRISTMAS GIFT! IJS

This is what you have to do in order to sign the petition:

1.)     Comment ON THIS BLOG on the www.wearyourconfidence.com website NOT FACEBOOK.

2.)     Write your NAME (FIRST AND LAST NAME)

3.)     Write your ZIP CODE **IN THE COMMENT BOX

4.)     Write your EMAIL ADDRESS (so I know your real) **IN THE COMMENT BOX

5.)     IF this blog has encouraged you in ANY WAY please include that too!

THAT’S IT! Your post should look something like this:

“Cherise Styles, 12345, wyctv1@gmail.com
I have been empowered ever since reading the blogs from Cherise Styles! This blog needs to be in your magazine and read all over the world!”

Thank you so much for the support! Let’s make history. Please sign and share this post! Let’s get 1,000 signatures by December 31, 2014!

I can’t do it without you!

*Don’t Forget Your Confidence and Don’t Forget To Sign and SHARE!

 XOXO

This blog is so aspiring. It's hard for girls today to love themselves and the skin their in because the media and society as a whole. So having someone like Cherise is a breath of fresh air. Not only does she speak about self love, she speaks about god and his love for everybody. Cherise you are truly a blessing and may the world know and learn something from you and your blog!

The WYC Blogs have been such an inspiration to me. I enjoy reading your blogs and look forward to reading more. They have encouraged me to push when I have felt like giving up and has taught me to be confident in the area's that were lacking confidence. Not only has it helped me but it has helped my girls. You have been a great role model and a great example of a fearful and wonderfully made women of God. Teens and young women around the world need to hear what you have to say. How you handle situation or how you maintain your CONFIDENCE. The seventeen magizine would be a great way for you to reach those who have suffered so much hurt and pain. Those lacking confidence. My Girls love to read the Seventeen Magazine and you would be a great asset to this company and a great help to many teens and young adults who are not seeing these post on the internet. Continue to let God use you. be Blessed

Wear my Confidence is exactly what we all need. It is the perfect combination of style and encouragement for tweens, teens, young adults and even the not so young adults. Seventeen Magazine will be participating in the revolution of Style and Grace by allowing Cherise to pour into the hearts and minds of their readers.

The wear your confidence blog is a very positive, and extremely uplifting place where women of all ages can come to be taught that being yourself is OK!! They express that being confident in yourself, and knowing your worth can absolutely help you in the fight against society and their idea of "perfect" May god bless the founders, and I pray you keep it up!!

Wear Your Confidence is a great blog. What I love the most is that most people can relate to. Not only are the blogs and videos scripture based but they are funny. I look forward to reading these blogs and watching these videos with my baby girl as soon as she is old enough to understand. All girls, women, boys and men alike should know the importance of being confident.
