Let 2014 Be The Best Year Of Your Life!

Ready or not 2014 is here! You can’t stop, slow down or turn back time. So my question to you is, what are you going to do differently? Whether you want to change your wardrobe, lose weight, become nicer or get rid of some negative people in your life you have to stand firm in your decision and be confident enough to do it. Are you confident? Merriam-Webster defines confidence as the quality or state of being certain. Before you can do anything you have to be certain of yourself and your abilities. Lacking confidence can keep you where you are. You will never be able to do anything because you are afraid and unsure. Well guess what? It is time to change! You need to be confident! How do you get this confidence? Well, I am glad that you asked. You get confidence through Christ. It is the Lord who enables us to do any and everything.  2 Corinthians 3:4-5 says, “Christ gives us confidence about you in God’s presence. By ourselves we are not qualified in any way to claim that we can do anything. Rather, God makes us qualified.” (GOD’S WORD Translation) In other words you need Christ to give you that certainty to do all the things you put your mind to!
     Don’t let the negativity of your friends and family effect your confidence. If you want to change your style go ahead and do it. If you want to want to paint your nails black in the summer, do it. If you want to wear flip flops in the winter, be my guest.
     Feel free to be comfortable in your skin. You are not ugly if you have freckles. You are not a freak because you are taller than all the boys. Nothing is wrong with your curves, you are still beautiful. If you don’t have curves you are not anorexic, you too are beautiful! Be confident in yourself and know that God didn’t make any mistakes when he created you. Psalm 139:14 says you are “fearfully and wonderfully” made. Did you know that you were not just thrown together like a last minute school project? A lot of thought, time and detail went into your creation. Think about it. The sculpting of your face, arms and body were put together meticulously. Fearfully made! Can you imagine God being scared when making you out of fear of messing up? God Himself, the creator of Heaven and Earth CREATED you and encourages YOU to do all that you set your mind to! You are strong! You have power! You are confident! Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

So now that the near year is here it is time for you to get to work! Nothing to it but to do it!
